Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to classify the definition of the disabled child, general characteristics, mouth symptoms, psychological status, clinical approach and dental treatment. In addition, to protect these children from oral and dental disease, they regularly visit the schools of the disabled to perform oral examinations, parents, educate teachers to organize their education. In addition, dental general anesthesia and sedative treatment of children with disabilities to prevent dental approach is to explain.

Course Content

Definition and classification of a disabled patient. Oral, dental and general characteristics of children with disabilities. Characteristics of medical school children. Characteristics of children with medical disabilities. Oral findings and dental approach in children with visual and hearing disabilities. Clinical approach to mental retarded children. Dental approach in psychologically retarded child. Psychomotor impaired (Cerebral palm) and dental approach. Clinical approach to mental retarded children. Psychological handicapped child dental approach. Autism and dental approach. Sedation and general anesthesia in disabled children. Protector dental training for parents and teachers of children with disabilities. Regular visits to schools for children with disabilities and oral hygiene control.
