Objectives of the Course

To give information about the concepts of angiogenesis, invasion and metastasis in cancer molecular biology and their reflection in the clinic.

Course Content

Topics such as Difference of Cancer Cell from Normal Cell, Changes in Cell Membrane in Cancer, Changes in Communication Between Cells in Cancer Tissue, Invasion and Metastasis Process in Cancer, Metastasis Related Pathways and Therapeutic Potential.

1.Understands the nature and biological features of lung, liver and bone metastases as well as the identification of molecular biological features in tumors and reflection to the clinic.
2.Can explain the relationship between molecule and cell, cell to tissue cancer.
3.Knows the role of cell adhesion molecules and cancer spread.
4.Learns the role of angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis in cancer.
5.Understands the molecular properties and their reflection in the clinic on metastasis development stages and Metastasis Related Genes.
