Our vocational school offers programs in Tourism and Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, Catering Services, Yacht Management and Administration, and Maritime and Port Management. The Tourism and Hotel Management program, which admitted students in both the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 academic years, now has a total of 128 students. In the 2016-2017 academic year, we plan to admit students to the Culinary Arts and Catering Services programs in addition to the Tourism and Hotel Management program. Furthermore, the Söke Vocational School's Tourism and Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, and Catering Services programs are currently operating within our school building.
History
Our university's Davutlar Vocational School was established by the Higher Education Council in accordance with Article 7/d-2 of Law No. 2547, as amended by Law No. 2880, and based on their letter dated 20.02.2012 and numbered 1124-8332. The foundation of our Vocational School was laid in 2007, and its opening ceremony was held on February 11, 2014.
Mission
In line with the evolving world, our goal is to cultivate young people who are inquisitive, problem-solving, possess strong social skills, are self-confident, capable of making sound decisions, rational, productive, respectful of human rights, open to universal values, and sensitive to society and societal problems—all of which are essential for the business world.
Vision
To be a pioneering educational institution that trains skilled intermediate personnel with the knowledge and abilities required by the age, who can follow global developments, and who are sought after on an international platform; an institution that is innovative, collaborative, and in continuous cooperation with the tourism sector and the local community, and of which its members are proud to be a part.
Purpose
The Catering Services Program aims to train qualified individuals who possess the professional knowledge, skills, and competencies required by the food and beverage industry, adopting a practice-oriented educational approach. The program aims to enable students to transfer their theoretical knowledge to practical settings, adapt to the current requirements of the sector, and continue their professional development. Accordingly, the program's educational objectives are presented below:
1- To ensure that students are trained as professionals who possess the basic professional competencies required by the sector in the fields of kitchen, service, and organization, and who can manage and implement operational processes in accordance with quality standards.
2- To train qualified human resources who can use their professional knowledge and skills in practical settings and who possess problem-solving and decision-making competencies.
3- To train professionals who are conscious and responsible in hygiene, sanitation, occupational health and safety, and sustainability issues.
Physical Infrastructure
Davutlar Vocational School has an open area of ??43,000 m2 and a closed area of ??3,450 m2. Our vocational school consists of two blocks: a theoretical classroom block and a kitchen block. The theoretical classroom block has four floors, while the kitchen block has one floor.
Technical Infrastructure
Our college has 5 lecture halls, 14 classrooms, 1 computer lab, 2 kitchen workshops, 1 service workshop, 1 library, and 1 canteen.
