Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to teach the fundamental concepts and production techniques of plant production and to enable students to understand vineyard and orchard establishment as well as basic cultural maintenance practices.

Course Content

This course covers the fundamental concepts of plant production, including the definition and classification of plants, the history of plant cultivation, their importance in nutrition and the economy, as well as their biological characteristics and ecological requirements. In addition, the course provides fundamental knowledge of generative and vegetative propagation methods, vineyard and orchard establishment, cultural practices applied in orchards and vineyards, and basic maintenance practices in plant production.
