Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide students with fundamental knowledge of mechanization systems and equipment used in livestock enterprises. The course aims to enable students to recognize technologies used in feeding, watering, milking, manure management, and housing systems, and to evaluate the effects of mechanization on farm productivity, labor efficiency, and animal welfare

Course Content

This course covers the basic principles of mechanization in animal production, farm planning, housing equipment, feed preparation and distribution systems, watering equipment, milking systems, manure management, ventilation and climate control systems, mechanization equipment used in poultry and ruminant production, automation technologies, sensor applications, occupational health and safety, and machine maintenance principles.
