The aim of this course is to provide students with basic knowledge about the causes and impacts of climate change and to enable them to understand its effects on health, the economy, agriculture, food security, migration, urbanization, working life, and social inequalities. The course also aims to help students understand the roles of individuals, businesses, and civil society organizations in addressing climate change and to raise awareness of climate-friendly living.

This course covers the main causes and indicators of climate change, its observed impacts worldwide and in Türkiye, and its relationship with extreme weather events and disasters. It also examines the effects of climate change on human health, water resources, agriculture, food security, economic life, working life, poverty, social inequalities, migration, and urban life. The course also addresses consumption habits, product labels, environmentally friendly product choices, the roles of individuals, businesses, and civil society organizations in addressing climate change, basic climate policies, and climate-friendly living practices.
