Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to enable students to understand the fundamental concepts of public relations, its historical development, functions, application areas, and role in communication management. It is aimed that students will gain the competence to analyze the processes of effective communication between organizations and their target audiences, plan public relations activities, and evaluate basic practices.

Course Content

The course covers the definition of public relations, its historical development, basic concepts, public relations models, target audience analysis, internal and external communication, public opinion and public opinion formation processes, media relations, corporate image and reputation management, event management, sponsorship, social responsibility practices, crisis communication, and digital public relations.
