Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide students with knowledge and skills regarding the structure and operating principles of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) systems, flight dynamics, control systems, meteorology, navigation, aviation law, operation planning, safety, maintenance, and basic flight practices. The course also aims to enable students to plan UAV operations in accordance with regulations, flight safety standards, personal rights, and professional ethical principles; perform basic flight tasks in simulation and real flight environments; and utilize UAV-assisted visual content in public relations, publicity, media, and corporate communication activities.

Course Content

The course covers the introduction and classification of UAV systems, system components, flight principles, aerodynamics, propulsion and power systems, control and ground control systems, data links, avionics systems, sensors, payloads, aviation law, pilot responsibilities, insurance, human factors, meteorology, air traffic procedures, aviation phraseology, navigation, airspaces, flight permissions, operation planning, risk assessment, emergency situations, simulation, real flight practices, UAV-assisted imaging, maintenance, and flight records.

Learning Outcomes
1.İHA ve İHA sistemi kavramlarını, İHA sınıflarını ve temel kullanım alanlarını açıklar.
2.İHA sistemini oluşturan hava aracı, yer kontrol istasyonu, kumanda, veri bağı, sensör ve faydalı yük bileşenlerini tanır.
3.İtki, batarya, kumanda, aviyonik, GPS ve görüntüleme sistemlerinin çalışma esaslarını açıklar.
4.İHA operasyonlarında geçerli hava hukuku, kayıt, izin, sigorta ve pilot sorumluluklarını açıklar.
5.İHA kullanımında uçuş emniyeti, kişisel veriler, mahremiyet, telif ve mesleki etik kurallarına uygun davranır.
6.İHA ile halkla ilişkiler, tanıtım ve medya amaçlı temel görüntüleme görevi planlar.
