Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the fundamental concepts of event management, event planning and organization processes; to learn event types, target audience analysis, budgeting and sponsorship management, media relations, protocol rules, digital event applications, and crisis management, and to develop event planning and management skills.

Course Content

This course covers the fundamental concepts of event management, event types, event planning processes, target audience, venue and time planning, budgeting and sponsorship management, stakeholder management, event communication, media relations, promotion strategies, protocol rules, digital and hybrid event management, risk and crisis management, event performance evaluation, and professional practices in event management. Throughout the course, students analyze real-life event examples, evaluate at least one professional event through observation, and collaboratively develop the planning process of a sample event as a class.
