Objectives of the Course

To comprehend wood and wooden equipment. To comprehend the tools and the work machines used for woodcrafts. To understand how to use these machines, and what kind of security precautions should be taken. To apply mould construction methods of concrete and reinforced concrete elements. To be able to construct wooden roof, door, window woodwork according to their peculiar methods. To apply wooden wall, flooring, ceiling plating To comprehend wood and wooden equipment. To be able to construct wooden roof, door, window woodwork according to their peculiar methods. To apply wooden wall, flooring, ceiling plating

Learning Outcomes
1.Tells wood and wood-based materials, explains the structure of the tree. Tells broad-leaved and coniferous trees, explains the types of trees used in construction. Explains the benefits and drawbacks of wood, tells the features to look for in a good building timber. Explains the benefits and drawbacks of wood, tells the properties to look for in a good building timber.
2.Tells cutting, mowing, trimming, carving and drilling tools. Makes maintenance, repair and sharpening of tools, explains safe use techniques. Makes cutting, mowing, trimming, carving and drilling operations of wooden materials. Recognizes and maintains woodworking machines. Explains safety precautions in woodworking machines.
3.Explains the rules to be considered in the construction of foundation, column, beam, slab and stair molds.
4.Explains wooden roofs and tells the elements that make up the wooden roof. Explains the sitting and hanging roofs, makes roof trusses according to the technique. Makes door and window joinery according to the technique.
5.Makes wooden wall, floor and ceiling coverings in accordance with the technique.
