Objectives of the Course

To comprehend the importance of mathematics in the professional sense, to provide the necessary mathematical background in order to complete the associate degree program and to better understand the numerical issues in accounting profession.

Course Content

Numbers, basic arithmetic operations, algebraic expressions, equations, percentages and problem-solving techniques.

1.Can perform basic arithmetic operations and develop logical testing and analysis skills.
2.Expresses mathematical solution steps in a clear, orderly, understandable and controlled manner.
3.Learn how to classify equations and use different solutions according to their degree.
4.Verifies results using numerical methods or computational tools (calculator, etc.). To be able to calculate numerical data in accounting transactions
5.Analyzes a given mathematical expression and determines the appropriate solution strategy.
6.Uses mathematical expressions correctly when preparing accounting documents or reports.
