Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to teach information about the collection, transportation and disposal of medical waste generated in health institutions and other institutions in accordance with regulations and occupational health and safety rules.

Course Content

Medical waste, occupational health and safety in medical waste management, classification of medical waste, medical waste sources, equipment used in the collection and transportation of medical waste, collection and storage of medical waste, medical waste management, responsibilities of medical waste producers, duties of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry regarding medical waste, disposal methods of medical waste, medical waste data in Turkey.
