Objectives of the Course

To comprehend the fundamental concepts of forensic chemistry and how chemical analyses of forensic evidence are conducted.

Course Content

To understand the definition and importance of forensic chemistry, its historical development, its interdisciplinary relationships, its application areas, and its impact on the legal system. Additionally, to grasp the chemical methods utilized in the analysis of forensic evidence such as examination of documents, chemical markings, forensic toxicology, analysis of poisonous substances, DNA analysis, and genetic material examinations.
