Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to gain knowledge about various practices related to animal husbandry and health.

Course Content

This course covers both practical and theoretical knowledge related to clinical examination and basic veterinary procedures in animals. It begins with the immobilization of farm animals and pet animals for clinical examination, focusing on techniques for safely restraining animals. Age determination from teeth in domestic mammals and from horns in farm animals is addressed both theoretically and practically, teaching methods for estimating the age of animals. Blood collection regions and methods, as well as injection and puncture techniques, are key topics of the course. Types and treatment of abscesses, along with types of bleeding and methods to stop bleeding, are also covered. Additionally, anesthesia methods and vaccines, including vaccination procedures applied in animals, are examined in detail.
