Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to teach students the fundamental principles, legal regulations, and implementation methods of traceability systems that enable the tracking of food, feed, and animals at every stage of the food chain (from raw materials to the final product and consumer).

Course Content

Introduction and fundamental concepts. Good manufacturing practices and prerequisite programs. Legal regulations and standards. Information technologies and data recording. Blockchain technology. Cold chain management. Food recalls and withdrawals. Food labeling systems. Sectoral applications in the world and in Turkey.
