Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to acquire fundamental knowledge and practical skills in environmental protection, sustainable management of natural resources, and the prevention of environmental risks; to develop the ability to evaluate environmental issues from ecological, social, and economic perspectives, think in a solution-oriented manner, adopt the principles of environmental ethics and sustainable living, and actively contribute to environmental protection through individual and social responsibility.

Course Content

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to environmental protection, ecological balance, biodiversity, sustainable management of natural resources, environmental pollution, waste management, recycling, climate change, environmental risks, environmental legislation, and the principles of sustainable living. Theoretical knowledge is supported through observation, field studies, environmental assessment, and practical activities, enabling environmental issues, their causes, impacts, and possible solutions to be examined through real-life examples.

2.Analyzes environmental issues such as natural resource conservation, environmental pollution, and climate change using cause-and-effect relationships.
3.Identifies and evaluates environmental risks and proposes appropriate protection approaches.
4.Evaluates waste management, recycling, and circular economy practices from the perspective of environmental sustainability.
5.Relates environmental legislation, environmental management systems, and environmental ethics to environmental protection practices.
6.Conducts environmental observation, field investigation, and assessment studies on campus and in the surrounding area and reports the findings.
7.Evaluates daily life and professional practices in line with environmental protection and sustainability principles and develops improvement proposals.
8.Develops individual and social responsibility for environmental protection and demonstrates behaviors that support a culture of sustainable living.
