Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to learn, both in theory and in practice, how the front office department operates within accommodation establishments, as well as reservation processes and hotel management systems (PMS – Property Management Systems). Students will acquire the skills to effectively manage hotel operations through check-in/check-out procedures, room management, guest relations and automation systems.

Course Content

This course provides a comprehensive overview of the organisational structure, duties and responsibilities of the front office department in accommodation establishments, as well as guest reception and service processes. Students learn about reservations, check-in, the stay process and check-out procedures in theory, and gain an understanding of the fundamental principles of hotel operations. The course also introduces hotel automation systems (PMS – Property Management Systems) and covers their functions in areas such as reservation management, room status tracking, billing and reporting...
