To provide theoretical and practical knowledge on commercially important cut flower and cut foliage species cultivated under open-field and protected cultivation systems, including their production, cultivation, cultural practices, harvesting, post-harvest handling, and marketing processes.
Definition, importance, and classification of cut flowers; the status of the cut flower sector in Türkiye and worldwide; production structures, growing media, propagation and production techniques; cultivation of major cut flower species; cut foliage; harvesting, post-harvest handling, quality criteria, storage, marketing, and the auction system.
