To teach students the botanical characteristics, ecological requirements, propagation, maintenance, and landscape design principles of summer and winter annual flowers and ground cover plants widely used in parks, gardens, and landscape arrangements, thereby training qualified technical personnel for the sector.
In this course, topics including the classification of annual plants (summer and winter), recognition and ecological requirements of the most important annual flower species, the definition, classification, and functions of ground cover plants, the propagation, planting, and maintenance techniques of annual and ground cover plants, and their use in landscape projects are covered.
| 1. | Classify annual and ground cover plants according to their botanical characteristics, seasonal periods, and ecological requirements. |
| 2. | Identify summer and winter annual flower species commonly used in the sector, and manage their production (plug tray/seedling) processes. |
| 3. | Differentiate ground cover plant species suitable for different ecological conditions (sunny, shady, xeriscape, etc.) and apply their propagation techniques. |
| 4. | Perform field planting norms, soil preparation, and cultural maintenance (irrigation, fertilization, pruning) processes for annual and ground cover plants. |
| 5. | Identify and diagnose major annual and ground cover plant species used in the sector based on their morphological characteristics such as leaves, flowers, and forms. |
