Objectives of the Course

To provide students with basic knowledge about the definition, classification, ecological requirements, uses, and maintenance principles of indoor ornamental plants; and to develop their ability to select plants suitable for indoor conditions, evaluate growing media, irrigation, fertilization, repotting, and basic cultivation problems encountered in indoor plant production and maintenance.

Course Content

The content of the course includes the definition, scope, and classification of indoor ornamental plants; environmental factors affecting plant growth under indoor conditions, such as light, temperature, humidity, ventilation, growing medium, and irrigation; major indoor ornamental plant species and their uses; repotting, fertilization, pruning, propagation, and basic maintenance practices; and common cultivation problems observed in indoor plants.
