Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to provide students with the fundamental principles, techniques, and modern technologies for the generative (by seed) and vegetative (by cutting, grafting, bulb, tissue culture, etc.) propagation of indoor, outdoor, and cut ornamental plants through theoretical and practical training, thereby training qualified technical personnel needed by the sector.

Course Content

The objective of this course is to provide students with the fundamental principles, techniques, and modern technologies for the generative (by seed) and vegetative (by cutting, grafting, bulb, tissue culture, etc.) propagation of indoor, outdoor, and cut ornamental plants through theoretical and practical training, thereby training qualified technical personnel needed by the sector.

Name of Lecturer(s)
Learning Outcomes
1.Prepare rooting and germination media used in ornamental plant propagation according to technical requirements.
2.Explain the principles of generative propagation and seed physiology, and apply methods to overcome seed dormancy.
3.Conduct cutting and layering propagation processes using cutting types, layering principles, and plant growth regulators.
4.Differentiate and practice budding and scion grafting methods, along with their respective grafting times and materials used.
5.Explain and apply the production stages of ornamental plants using specialized subterranean organs, division methods, and tissue culture techniques.
