Objectives of the Course

To teach nursery site selection, establishment, and production planning; techniques for growing seedlings and saplings using seeds, vegetative methods, bare-root, or containerized systems; and to convey cultural practices, lifting, storage, pre-planting preparation, and various planting methods in landscape areas both theoretically and practically.

Course Content

Nursery types, site selection, and planning; soil tillage, irrigation, and protected cultivation; generative and vegetative production techniques; bare-root and containerized sapling production; cultural practices in nurseries, lifting, and storage; sapling transport, planting time, and pruning; slit planting, pit planting, and large tree planting techniques.

1.Analyzes appropriate site selection criteria and production planning for nursery establishment.
2.Produces seedlings and saplings using generative and vegetative production methods.
3.Executes cultural practices such as irrigation, fertilization, pruning, and plant protection in nurseries.
4.Lifts, grades, and protects saplings prior to planting in accordance with standards.
5.Applies sapling and large tree planting techniques correctly in landscape areas.
