In this course, the basic principles and theories of finance and the applications of these theories in business life are discussed. Financial system, direct and indirect financing, financial markets, alternative financing methods, risk-return relationship and portfolio theory, capital budgeting and financial failure in businesses constitute the main topics of this course.
