Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide students with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in beekeeping and sericulture, enable them to learn production methods in accordance with organic agriculture principles, and develop competencies related to sustainable production, product quality, environmental awareness, and professional practices.

Course Content

This course covers the basic principles of beekeeping and sericulture, biological characteristics, production systems, and their role in organic agriculture. The course includes the life cycles of honey bees and silkworms, cultivation techniques, care and feeding practices, equipment used in production, and methods for controlling diseases and pests. In addition, theoretical and practical knowledge is provided on organic production standards, sustainable production practices, quality management, hygiene, occupational health and safety, and the evaluation of bee products and silk production.

4.Carries out production activities in accordance with quality, hygiene, occupational health, and safety regulations in bee products and silk production.
5.Plans, records, and evaluates beekeeping and sericulture activities according to organic production standards.
