This course aims to introduce the fundamental concepts of the communication field and communication science, to demonstrate the differences and similarities between communication discipline and other social sciences, and to discuss different levels of communication such as interpersonal communication, group communication, and mass communication.
The course covers factors influencing communication, elements of communication, communication models, necessary components for communication, types of communication, mass communication, mass media, factors determining communication quality, mass communication theories, and body language.
| 1. | Explains the concept of communication, its types, and the factors that determine its quality; defines the basic elements and operational scheme of communication. |
| 2. | Understands the role of body language, gestures and facial expressions, arm and leg movements, and safety zones/seating arrangements in communication; analyzes the impact of culture and cultural differences on body language. |
| 3. | Develops the ability to use body movements, gestures, and facial expressions effectively in front of an audience, enabling students to deliver professional presentations to their target audience.. |
| 4. | Applies skills in preparing documents/petitions in accordance with formal correspondence rules, creating a resume (CV) suitable for a recent graduate profile, and using effective body language in job interviews. |
| 5. | Understands and correctly displays the rules of etiquette (manners) valid in social and professional life, as well as protocol rules in formal/corporate settings. |
