The aim of this course is to provide students with knowledge about the history, production, chemical constituents, quality criteria, safe use, and brewing techniques of herbal teas, and to develop their skills in evaluating herbal teas and preparing appropriate tea blends.
History and classification of herbal teas, plant species used in tea production, active constituents, quality criteria, brewing techniques, safety principles, functional teas, herb-drug interactions, and current industrial applications.
