Objectives of the Course

To educate the prepration of drugs which are used as medicinal and aromatic

Course Content

Introduction to the drug. Herbal drugs, drugs which are obtained from whole plant or a part of a plant, root, rhizome, tuber, wood, shell, leaf, flower, fruit, seed drugs, classification and nomenclature of the drugs. Purity test, marketing, storage, drying, obtaining of drugs according to Turkey and EU standarts. Infusion, decoction, pomade, lozenge, syrup preparation. Microscopic investigation of drugs, diagnosis of plants and laboratory applications
