Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide students with knowledge of protocol rules, official etiquette, institutional representation, and ceremonial practices applied in public institutions, particularly local governments. The course covers official correspondence and communication, protocol hierarchy, institutional event management, diplomatic protocol, national and international protocol practices, and protocol rules in digital communication environments, with the aim of improving students' professional representation, communication, and organizational skills.

Course Content

This course covers the fundamental concepts and principles of protocol management; protocol rules in public institutions; official etiquette and institutional representation; protocol hierarchy; planning and management of official ceremonies, visits, meetings, and institutional events; official correspondence and communication; national and international protocol practices; diplomatic protocol; institutional image and representation; protocol in digital communication environments; and ethical principles and institutional representation during crisis situations. The course also includes case studies and practical examples.

1.Explains the fundamental concepts, principles, and implementation procedures of protocol management in public institutions.
2.Applies official protocol rules, the order of precedence, official ceremony procedures, and institutional representation practices in accordance with relevant regulations.
3.Plans and evaluates official correspondence, institutional communication, meetings, and organizational processes in accordance with protocol rules.
4.Analyzes protocol practices, institutional representation duties, and citizen-oriented communication processes in local governments.
5.Evaluates national and international protocol practices, diplomatic etiquette, and ethical principles through comparative analysis.
6.Develops solution proposals for contemporary issues in protocol management, digital communication environments, and institutional event management.
