Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to introduce students to the fundamental concepts of information and communication technologies and to provide them with advanced skills in using office applications (word processors, spreadsheets, and presentation software) most needed in professional life. The course aims to develop students' competencies in preparing reports, data analyses, and professional presentations in accordance with corporate standards by enhancing their digital literacy levels.

Course Content

This course covers fundamental information technology concepts and the effective use of office applications, which are essential components of professional and academic life. Throughout the course, professional reporting with word processors (Word), data analysis, formulation, and graphing with spreadsheets (Excel), and effective visual design techniques with presentation software (PowerPoint) are practically addressed. Additionally, basic internet utilization, cloud computing, and digital security topics are covered.

1.Explains the fundamental concepts of information and communication technologies, and the operating principles of hardware, software, and cloud systems.
2.Analyzes data structures, formulas, and reporting components in word processor and spreadsheet applications.
3.Evaluates raw data and managerial reports in terms of corporate needs and digital security standards.
4.Interprets the results of charts, scenarios, and data analysis generated in spreadsheet (Excel) software from a financial/administrative perspective.
5.Develops original reports, dynamic data models, and professional presentations using advanced office applications aimed at solving business problems.
