The aim of this course is to teach the methods and principles of identifying, analyzing, summarizing, interpreting, making inferences from, and predicting numerical data using scientific methods.
To introduce students to the fundamental concepts of statistics and basic statistical methods.
| 1. | Calculate and interpret basic statistical descriptive data. |
| 2. | Distinguish the difference between real and nominal variables. |
| 3. | Calculates parametric measures of dispersion such as arithmetic mean and variance to determine the central tendency and dispersion characteristics of data sets |
| 4. | Transforms collected raw data into meaningful statistical series and visualizes these series using appropriate graph types. |
| 5. | Analyzes the direction and degree of relationships between variables using correlation, regression, and trend analysis methods, and interprets the results |
