Course Content

Apply a general approach to trauma cases, provide emergency care for external bleeding, soft tissue injuries, head injuries, face and neck injuries, spinal injuries, chest injuries, abdominal injuries, pelvic injuries, and extremity injuries, as well as provide emergency care for cold-related injuries, heat-related injuries, burns, electrical and lightning injuries, drowning, poisoning, and bites and stings.

Name of Lecturer(s)
Learning Outcomes
1.Explains scene safety, the ABCDE approach, and the steps of primary and secondary assessment in trauma patient management.
2.Analyzes the pathophysiology and potential complications of external bleeding and injuries to soft tissue, head, face–neck, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities.
3.Distinguishes life-threatening findings according to trauma types, evaluates shock and special trauma groups (pediatric, geriatric, and pregnant patients), and compares appropriate emergency care approaches
4.Explains the methods, indications, and principles of trauma patient assessment, immobilization, and transportation, and defines the basic steps of application.
5.Evaluates patient, staff, and environmental safety, as well as teamwork, communication, ethical and legal responsibilities in trauma management, and justifies appropriate approaches.
