The objective of this course is to enhance students' ability to monitor the vital signs and clinical findings of patients and casualties using evidence-based algorithms and to make critical decisions in pre-hospital emergency care. The course aims to equip students with the skills to utilize differential diagnosis criteria in digestive, metabolic, infectious, and urogenital system diseases; to manage fluid-electrolyte and acid-base imbalances; to perform parenteral drug administrations in compliance with high patient safety and aseptic technique principles; and to integrate isolation and transmission risk management standards into all invasive procedures
This course encompasses the monitoring of patients' clinical and vital signs based on evidence-based algorithms and the management of invasive emergency care for advanced systemic diseases in pre-hospital settings. The course content includes monitoring the clinical and vital findings of patients or casualties, parenteral drug administration applications along with safe dosage and aseptic technique principles, digestive system diseases and emergency care in acute abdominal pain, metabolic diseases, management of fluid-electrolyte and acid-base imbalances, clinical evaluation of infectious diseases, isolation precautions and transmission risk management, and emergency care along with laboratory/clinical applications for urogenital system diseases
| 1. | Systematically assesses the clinical findings of patients and injured individuals (vital signs, physical examination) and conducts the monitoring process in accordance with evidence-based algorithms. |
| 2. | In cases involving systemic diseases, applies appropriate emergency care and stabilization protocols using differential diagnosis criteria. |
| 3. | Administer parenteral medications (IM, IV, SC, etc.) in accordance with safe dosing, aseptic techniques, and patient safety principles |
| 4. | Evaluates fluid-electrolyte and acid-base imbalances to make the necessary decisions regarding emergency care |
| 5. | Implements isolation measures to minimize the risk of transmission in infectious diseases; ensures that patient and staff safety standards are incorporated into all procedural processes. |
