Objectives of the Course

The purpose of this course is to provide knowledge about the basic physiological functioning of the human body, to develop the ability to explain the functions of organs and systems, and to build the competence to apply this knowledge in healthcare practice

Course Content

The course covers cell and blood physiology, the physiological characteristics of muscle and nerve tissues, and the mechanisms of the cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, excretory, nervous, and endocrine systems, as well as the physiological functions of the sensory organs. The course also addresses the normal principles of operation of organs and systems, their roles in maintaining homeostasis, and the interactions between these systems.
