The purpose of this course is to provide knowledge about the basic physiological functioning of the human body, to develop the ability to explain the functions of organs and systems, and to build the competence to apply this knowledge in healthcare practice
The course covers cell and blood physiology, the physiological characteristics of muscle and nerve tissues, and the mechanisms of the cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, excretory, nervous, and endocrine systems, as well as the physiological functions of the sensory organs. The course also addresses the normal principles of operation of organs and systems, their roles in maintaining homeostasis, and the interactions between these systems.
| 1. | Explains the basic physiological structures and functions of the human body and evaluates their relationship with homeostasis |
| 2. | Explains the physiological mechanisms of the respiratory system and distinguishes the processes of gas exchange |
| 3. | Explains the physiological characteristics of the circulatory system and distinguishes the basic principles of cardiovascular functions |
| 4. | Explains the physiological functioning of the nervous system and distinguishes neural communication mechanisms |
| 5. | Explains the physiological characteristics of the digestive, excretory and endocrine systems and sensory organs, and relates the interactions among these systems. |
