Objectives of the Course

By understanding the fundamentals of medical terminology used in Health Sciences and theoretical courses with practical applications in professional studies is to provide information that will facilitate understanding of the basic vocational terminology.

1.It defines basic concepts related to medical terminology, as well as roots, prefixes, and suffixes.
2.Explains basic medical terms related to the structure and systems of the human body.
3.Derives and interprets new terms by using the components that make up medical terms (roots, prefixes, suffixes).
4.Uses the singular and plural forms of medical terms and their abbreviations appropriately in context.
5.By distinguishing the terminology used in clinical fields (ENT, neurology, musculoskeletal, etc.), they use it effectively and accurately in professional communication.
