Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to learn the basic concepts of business administration and to understand the establishment, management, and operational processes of real estate businesses at a basic level.

Course Content

The course covers the concept of business, types of businesses, entrepreneurship, management functions, organizational structure, marketing, finance, human resources, and basic management processes in real estate businesses.

Week 1 - Theoretical
Introduction to Business: The concept of business, business objectives, production of goods and services, and the role of business in the real estate sector are explained.
Week 2 - Theoretical
Types of Businesses and Legal Structures: Sole proprietorships, limited companies, joint-stock companies, and the legal structures of real estate offices are discussed.
Week 3 - Theoretical
Business Establishment Process: Developing a business idea, choosing a location, capital requirements, official procedures, and the process of establishing a real estate office are examined.
Week 4 - Theoretical
Management and Management Functions: Planning, organizing, directing, coordination, and control functions are explained through real estate businesses.

Organizational Structure and Division of Labor: Task distribution, authority-responsibility relations, and the roles of agents, office managers, and support staff in real estate offices are explained.

Entrepreneurship and Business Opportunities in Real Estate: Entrepreneurial characteristics, innovative business models, real estate consultancy, and digital real estate services are discussed.
