Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to use basic computer, internet, office software, and digital document management skills for professional purposes.

Course Content

The course covers computer hardware, software, operating systems, file management, internet research, office programs, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, e-mail, cloud systems, information security, e-government, and digital tools in the real estate sector.

Weekly Detailed Course Contents
Week 1 - Theoretical
Introduction to Basic Information Technologies: The concepts of information technology, computers, hardware, software, the internet, and digital transformation are explained.
Week 2 - Theoretical
Computer Hardware and Operating Systems: Basic computer components, storage units, peripheral devices, operating systems, file and folder management are discussed.
Week 3 - Theoretical
Internet Use and Digital Research: Web browsers, search engines, accessing reliable information, evaluating online sources, and using the internet for real estate research are explained.
Week 4 - Theoretical
Introduction to Office Software: Basic use of word processors, spreadsheets, presentation software, PDF documents, and cloud-based office tools is introduced.
Week 5 - Theoretical
Word Processing Applications: Official letters, petitions, reports, contract drafts, real estate portfolio descriptions, and document formatting practices are carried out.
Week 6 - Theoretical
Spreadsheet Applications: Creating tables, using formulas, basic calculations, listing, filtering, and preparing real estate portfolio or customer lists are explained.
Week 7 - Practice
Office Software Practice: Students are asked to prepare a sample real estate portfolio list, customer tracking table, or short report.
Week 8 - Theoretical
Presentation Preparation Tools: Slide preparation, use of visuals, adding tables and charts, and creating short presentations for real estate portfolios or projects are covered.
Week 9 - Theoretical
E-Mail and Digital Communication: E-mail writing rules, attaching files, professional communication, online meetings, and digital communication with real estate clients are discussed.
Week 10 - Theoretical
Cloud Technologies and Digital File Management: Google Drive, OneDrive, cloud storage, file sharing, collaboration, and organized storage of real estate documents are explained.
Week 11 - Theoretical
Information Security and Protection of Personal Data: Password security, malware, phishing, backup, protection of customer information, and safe internet use are explained.
Week 12 - Theoretical
E-Government and Digital Public Services: E-Government, municipal e-services, title deed-parcel inquiry, tax transactions, and digital public services related to the real estate sector are introduced.
Week 13 - Theoretical
Digital Tools in the Real Estate Sector: Listing portals, CRM software, digital portfolio management, map applications, artificial intelligence tools, and online marketing tools are discussed.
Week 14 - Theoretical
General Review and Practical Digital Project: The semester topics are reviewed; students are asked to prepare documents, tables, presentations, and a digital file structure for a sample real estate portfolio.
