Objectives of the Course

During the life of an individual's physiological aging is a process that is required to maintain the healthy nutrients have concomitant diseases, taking into account preparation, provision and consumption

Course Content

Understanding the principles of adequate and balanced nutrition, energy requirements, ideal height and weight, food groups and nutrients by defining them, understanding the principles of nutrition in special cases (nutrition in geriatric patients, pregnant and postpartum women, nutrition in chronic diseases), teaching the principles of dry and cold storage.

Learning Outcomes
1.Having knowledge of basic health and elderly nutrition terminology.
2.It calculates the energy and nutrient requirements of an individual based on their age, health status, and activity level, and creates and monitors an appropriate nutrition plan.
3.It analyzes the role of essential nutrients in bodily functions and relates them to nutritional problems encountered in healthcare settings.
4.It implements food safety, hygiene, dry and cold storage regulations, identifies risks, and evaluates them from an occupational health and safety perspective.
5.In cases involving specific conditions (malnutrition, diabetes, dysphagia, etc.) seen in elderly and sick individuals, the professional plans and implements nutritional support in collaboration with the team, adhering to ethical principles.
