The aim of this course is to enable students to perform basic physical assessment, use data collection methods, and develop care processes through system-specific case examples. It also aims to help students evaluate patients, identify nursing diagnoses, and determine care needs using a structured data collection form.
This course includes the assessment of health status, explanation of data collection methods, physical examination techniques, evaluation of the patient's general condition, discussion of case examples by body systems, and application of structured data collection forms.

| 1. | Explains at least three different data collection methods with examples and describes basic data collection techniques. |
| 2. | Accurately defines the stages of the nursing care process in the order presented in the course content. |
| 3. | Evaluates the general condition of the patient based on at least three criteria such as consciousness, vital signs, and communication, using a case scenario. |
| 4. | Identifies the patient’s care needs by following the initial steps of the nursing process in line with a given patient scenario. |
| 5. | Uses a structured data collection form to analyze the obtained information and makes inferences regarding at least two basic care needs. |
