Objectives of the Course

Chemistry of textile materials, definition and classification of textile dyes, Introduction to Cosmetic Chemistry, raw materials used in cosmetic products, fragrence and color in cosmetics and classification of cosmetic products according to their application methods, general information of drug and its chemistry, drug metabolisms, drug discovery and developments, ethics in medicinal chemistry.

Course Content

Chemistry of textile materials, identification of textile dyestuffs and related resources, synthesis of dyestuffs and dyes from raw materials, general properties of devices used in synthesis, chemical relations between textile materials and dyestuffs, introduction to cosmetics chemistry, raw materials, coloring in cosmetics, fragrance-perfumery in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals. definition, therapeutic index, xenobiotics, sources of drugs, forms and routes of administration, absorption of drugs, their status in the organism and types of action, proteins and peptides as drugs, antibodies in drug chemistry, tolerance, habit, addiction, toxic effects, hypersensitivity, discovery of new drugs and development, ethical rules, design, modification.

Learning Outcomes
1.Have the knowledge of the reaching to the related literature with textile dyes, textile machines, have the knowledge about the construction and operation principles of textile dyeing machines.
2.Gain the knowledge about the chemical structure and physical properties of textile materials, learn the pre-treatment reactions of textile materials
3.Have basic organic chemistry knowledge for cosmetic industry.
4.Have knowledge about the coloring materials used in cosmetic products.
5.Have knowledge about fragrenced materials used in cosmetic products and their formulations
6.Have knowledge about the drugs and type of administrations, have knowledge about drug targets in human body, learn mechanism on the molecular level.
7.Have knowledge about drug discovery and developments and ethical rules in medicinal chemistry.
