Objectives of the Course

To increase students' awareness of nature and to enable them to establish a deep connection with nature through art. It aims to provide students with in-depth understanding and skills on the following subjects. To enable students to be more sensitive to the natural world around them and to encourage them to understand the importance of nature, to give them the opportunity to establish an emotional and creative bond with nature by using different art techniques, to develop their creative thinking skills by taking inspiration from nature and to increase their skills in creating works of art, to help students develop awareness about the conservation and sustainability of nature. To raise awareness and enable them to convey environmental messages through art, to offer students a holistic learning experience by combining nature awareness and art and to develop multidisciplinary skills, to encourage them to think about the social effects of nature and art and to convey messages to society.

Course Content

By addressing the topics of nature awareness and promotion of art, nature walks and observation, art with natural materials, ecosystems and art, sounds of nature and music, art performance in nature, photography and nature, recycling and art, biomimicry and nature, nature and sustainable art; It offers students the opportunity to explore nature more deeply and express it through art.

Nature and Art Concepts, What is nature awareness? Why is nature conservation important? The relationship between art and nature and the place of nature in art, Examination of nature and art examples
Week 2 - Theoretical & Practice
Nature Walks and Observation, Nature Walks and Observation, Observation techniques, Notes and drawings about observations
Week 3 - Theoretical & Practice
Observation and Art Work, Making art work based on the observations of the previous week, Collage work with materials collected from nature
Week 4 - Theoretical & Practice
Art with Natural Materials, Natural Paints and Materials, Making paint from natural materials (plants, soil, etc.) Simple art works with these paints
Week 5 - Theoretical & Practice
Art with Natural Materials, Working with Soil and Clay Sculpture works using clay and soil, Creating ceramic products inspired by nature
