Objective of this course is to provide students with AI literacy, and the competence to integrate generative AI tools (text, image, audio, presentation) into education and design digital materials within pedagogical principles and ethical rules in the context of early childhood education.
Introduction to AI and core concepts; generative AI and principles of prompt engineering; generating early childhood lesson plans, stories, and fairy tales with AI; AI-based visual and artistic material production; children's songs and audio design; developing assessment and evaluation tools; AI ethics in education, copyrights, and child data security.
| 1. | Explains the working principles of generative AI tools, the principles of prompt engineering, and their current role in education. |
| 2. | Designs children's stories, fairy tales, and daily and weekly educational plans suitable for early childhood developmental domains and outcomes with the help of AI. |
| 3. | Produces visual/audio digital materials such as educational flashcards, coloring books, presentations, and children's songs for preschool children using AI tools. |
| 4. | Utilizes AI technologies to individualize educational processes and adapt materials for children with special needs or disadvantages. |
| 5. | Critically evaluates the limitations and risks of using AI in education within the framework of children's rights, data privacy, copyrights, and pedagogical ethical principles. |
