Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide students with fundamental knowledge of waste management, recycling technologies, and sustainable living. Students learn about the environmental impacts of waste generated in daily life and gain an understanding of recycling methods through practical examples.

Course Content

This course covers the fundamental concepts related to recycling, waste management, and sustainable living. Within the scope of the course, waste types, source separation methods, recycling processes, efficient use of natural resources, reduction of environmental impacts, and the zero-waste approach are addressed. In addition, recovery and recycling methods for plastic, glass, metal, paper, organic, and electronic waste are examined. The course aims to develop students’ environmental awareness and encourage sustainable approaches in daily life and professional practices
