Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to introduce the core concepts and systems of ethical and moral philosophy; and to provide students with the competence to resolve ethical dilemmas in the workplace and fulfill legal and ethical responsibilities within the framework of child development professional definitions, legislation, and teacher professional ethics.

Course Content

Concepts of ethics and morals, ethical systems, professional terminology and legislation in child development, teacher professional ethics, ethical leadership and profiles in the workplace, children's rights, ethical responsibilities in child abuse and neglect, professional corruption, and case analyses.

1.Explains the core concepts, principles, and theoretical systems of ethical and moral philosophy.
2.Relates the professional definition, terminology, and relevant legislation of child development to the principles of teacher professional ethics.
3.Analyzes ethical leadership, ethical profiles, and institutional climate characteristics in the workplace, and interprets the consequences of professional corruption and unethical behaviors.
4.Acts in accordance with legal and ethical obligations in children's rights, child neglect/abuse, digital privacy, and inclusive education processes.
5.Comprehensively resolves ethical dilemmas encountered in professional practices by utilizing ethical inquiry and decision-making models through case analyses.
