Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to encourage students to participate in scientific, cultural, artistic, and social responsibility activities; and to develop their skills in analyzing, reporting, and generating social benefits from these activities within the context of the child development field through a lifelong learning awareness.

Course Content

Scientific activities (conferences, seminars, panels), cultural and artistic organizations (museums, theater, cinema, exhibitions), social responsibility and environmental projects; principles of activity planning, documentation, institutional representation, and preparing an activity portfolio.

1.Explains the importance of scientific, cultural, and artistic activities in terms of individual, social, and professional development.
2.Systematically follows national and international scientific meetings, artistic publications, and cultural organizations.
3.Takes responsibility in the planning and implementation processes of social responsibility projects aimed at providing environmental awareness and social benefit.
4.Critically evaluates the scientific and cultural activities participated in by relating them to the professional practices of child development and education.
5.Prepares a personal development portfolio by documenting all activities performed throughout the semester in accordance with academic reporting standards.

Principles of Activity Management: Standards of Planning, Documentation, and Institutional Representation in Scientific and Cultural Organizations.
Week 3 - Theoretical
Academic and Scientific Activities I: Strategies for Following Conferences, Symposiums, Seminars, and Panels.
Week 4 - Theoretical
Academic and Scientific Activities II: Methods of Literature Review, Scientific Article Evaluation, and Critical Inquiry.
Week 5 - Theoretical
Cultural Heritage and Museum Education: Evaluation of Museums, Historical Sites, and Art Galleries in Terms of Child Development.
