Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to develop students' proficiency in utilizing office software applications (advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database tools) that are heavily employed in the manufacturing and quality control industries at a professional level. The course is entirely application-oriented, aiming to equip students with hands-on, computer-based experience in analyzing manufacturing process data through advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, and charts; establishing technical report and documentation templates aligned with international standards; and digitally tracking quality control processes with high precision.

Course Content

Advanced Excel functions (logical, lookup, text, and statistical formulas); data validation and dynamic form design; analysis of production data using Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts; introduction to Excel Macros and automation of data analytics; generating large-scale technical reports, procedures, and structured documentation hierarchies using Advanced Word; developing dynamic and professional quality performance presentations using Advanced PowerPoint; cloud-based collaborative tools integration (Google Workspace / MS Office 365).

Name of Lecturer(s)
Learning Outcomes
1.Classify and analyze large-scale data sets originating from manufacturing and quality control processes by utilizing advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF, etc.).
2.Visualize quality control inspection results and statistical process control data through dynamic Pivot Tables and interactive dashboard panels.
3.Design digital quality control forms and tracking logs with minimized error rates by employing data validation constraints and basic automation (Macro) tools in Excel.
4.Draft corporate process procedures and technical reports in a hierarchical structure with automatic tables of contents in compliance with international standards (ISO 9001, etc.) using advanced Word techniques.
5.Manage simultaneous databases with multi-disciplinary teams by effectively utilizing collaborative cloud tools, and convert these datasets into professional presentations.
