The aim of this course is to examine the historical development, structural characteristics, and current challenges of different national economies from a comparative perspective. Students will be able to analyze cross-country differences in economic performance, policy choices, and positions within the global system.
Theoretical foundations of the comparative economic approach Comparison of the economic performance of developed and developing countries Dynamics of industrialization, growth, and development Evaluation of fiscal and monetary policies through country examples Impacts of globalization, trade, and capital flows on national economies Comparative analysis of the Turkish economy with selected countries Contemporary economic crises and policy responses
