Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to transform their theoretical and technical knowledge of new media into an integrated content production process. Students are expected to design visual, audio, and moving-image content appropriate to target audiences and platform characteristics and to apply principles of content planning, production workflow, accessibility, copyright, and basic performance evaluation.

Course Content

The course provides practice in defining a communication problem and creative brief, audience analysis, platform and format selection, content ideation, visual identity, audiovisual content production, short-form video, digital storytelling, accessible content design, content calendars, production workflows, community interaction, and basic performance indicators. By the end of the term, students develop an integrated new media content package.
