The aim of this course is to enable students to develop an advanced, multi-platform new media project by integrating research, strategy, production, measurement, and optimization. The course seeks to translate interactive content, prototyping, AI-assisted production, community management, crisis scenarios, data analytics, ethics, and sustainability into practice within a professional project cycle.
The course covers research- and data-informed problem definition, stakeholder and user journeys, multi-platform strategy, interactive content and prototyping, AI-assisted production, personalization and automation, community and crisis management, transmedia storytelling, A/B testing, measurement, optimization, legal-ethical risk analysis, and quality assurance. By the end of the term, students develop a tested new media project with a measurement plan and a presentation-ready prototype.
