Objectives of the Course

New Media Portfolio is designed in which students take on all aspects of their projects, from the preparation phase to post-production and presentation. This course aims to help students define their career plans and prepare their portfolios for graduation. Within the scope of the course, students are expected to shape their projects according to their intellectual and professional interests.

Course Content

New Media Portfolio is a comprehensive two-semester development course in which students manage their projects end-to-end, from the conceptual phase to the final presentation. The primary objective of the course is to strengthen students' post-graduation career plans by transforming their intellectual and professional interests into a professional portfolio. Students are expected to demonstrate holistic project management by taking full responsibility for all stages, including preparation, production, post-production, and presentation. Furthermore, it is essential that they adhere to social, scientific, and professional ethical values in all productions within the field of new media, demonstrate effective teamwork skills by ensuring a balanced distribution of labor during project processes, and translate theoretical knowledge into tangible media outputs. This course aims to enable students not only to possess a portfolio but also to build a professional brand identity capable of competing in the media industry.

Introduction to the course, the importance of digital portfolios in the media industry, and current trends. Examination and analysis of successful national and international portfolio examples.

Developing custom content for the portfolio and creating new projects (Pre-preparation: Proposing initial ideas).

Discussing new project ideas and planning.
