Objectives of the Course

Considering the learning objectives specified in the National Core Education Program; 1. According to the subject of the lesson, the student should be able to define the emergency and make the emergency treatment and refer to the specialist when necessary. 2. He / she should be able to make a preliminary diagnosis and direct them to the specialist. 3. He / she should be able to diagnose and have knowledge about treatment, make the necessary preliminary procedures and direct them to a specialist. 4. It should be able to diagnose and treat. 5. He / she should be able to make long-term follow-up and control under primary care conditions. 6. Safeguard measures (primary, secondary and tertiary protection appropriate) should be able to apply.

Course Content

To gain basic psychiatric communication and interview skills. To have knowledge about the classification of psychiatric disorders.

Learning Outcomes

1.	Having information about which psychiatric signs and symptoms occur in which disorders, should be able to distinguish between psychiatric symptoms and disorders
2.	To have knowledge about the neurological dimensions of mental health disorders and to be able to distinguish the neurobiological features of different mental disorders
3.	Understand the psychodynamic approach and distinguish the psychodynamic characteristics of disorders.
4.	To be able to make the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of mood disorders and to perform patient management
5.	Can make a pre-diagnosis of patients presenting with psychotic disorder, monitor the diagnosed patient, explain the methods of protection to the applicant / patient about this issue.
